We all love a good dipping sauce, right? In Filipino cuisine, we tend to use a dark soy sauce. Don’t get us wrong, that is a go-to sauce for anyone and we love it. However, we give it a little twist today, as we are giving you a Sweet Garlic Soy Sauce that is both sweet and salty for your pleasure!
For this dish, you take that soy sauce and combine it with some sugar. This creates a syrupy dressing for vegetables, which is always a good thing. Then you add in some garlic and that gives you the sweet and salty combination that definitely has a nice little kick to it.
When making this sauce, it does store well. You can refrigerate this sauce for a couple days. When you go to use it again, bring it back to room temperature when using as a dipping sauce. If you want to cook with it, you can just take it out of the fridge and use right away.
